XL Ministries

XL’s founders believe that the church is absolutely the best place to train men for ministry.  Because of this, in 1992 XL Ministries was formed with the intent of developing internships that could be accomplished within the context of the local church.

Amazingly, they provide all of their materials for free with a donation option available if you are able to contribute toward the cost of printing the material. Please head over to their website here to see their mission, Statement of Faith and other helpful links and resources. All of their resources are available for PDF download, but if you would like a hardcopy (or multiple copies for your church), that's where Gracebooks comes in:

We have the privilege of being able to distribute XL Ministries' training materials for free here in NZ, with a donation option available (Suggested donation of $15-$18 per copy, depending on title). If you would like to order any titles below for your church or ministry leaders, please email us directly, and we will send out however many titles you require. If you would like to make a donation, we can organise that directly with you.

The ministries that Gracebooks NZ choose to support must primarily be of the same focus and purpose of our own ministry, which is spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost and equipping the saints, locally and abroad. It is an honour for Gracebooks to get behind the mission of XL Ministries. We hope and pray that these resources will greatly bless you!

Some of XL Ministry Titles:

Becoming a Biblical Elder

This resource is intended to assist in the process of preparing a man to become an elder in the local church. It does this by providing a clear and directed plan for elder mentorship that includes Bible knowledge, theology, and elder orientation.

Becoming a Biblical Leader

Church leadership matters. Leaders in the church have a significant impact on the health and maturity of the congregation. This is why the New Testament provides such clear teaching regarding appointing leadership in the church, and why it spends a significant amount of time providing instruction to church leaders.

Becoming a Biblical Leader - Women's Edition

When we think about a woman’s role in the church, we so often focus on what it’s not instead of what it is.  This version focuses on what God has established as unique roles and priorities for women within the church as they use their gifts to build up the body of Christ. "Becoming a Biblical Leader: Women’s Edition" is a modified version of "Becoming a Biblical Leader," focused on equipping women.
