Strength in the Christian life comes from God—from being “strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might” (Ephesians 6:10). Depending on any other source of strength will prove to be inadequate.
Our own strength is never sufficient to oppose Satan, but when we are strong in the Lord His strength is sufficient to win any battle. David said, “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped” (Psalm 28:7). It is not the amount of strength we have that’s important—only its divine source.
