Beginnings:
Twenty nine years ago Grace to You was birthed in New Zealand. The need to make
the Word of God as taught by Dr. John MacArthur available to all in New Zealand was
recognized. Grace to You in Los Angeles sponsored our office here for twenty seven
years for which we are deeply grateful.
The sponsorship from Grace To You in Los
Angeles ceased at the end of June 2009 due to economic recession, the increase in
the use of the Internet and a change in their operating strategy. This meant a choice
of either closing down or going it alone. The Board of Trustees unanimously decided
that the ministry was to continue and others spoken to, affirmed this. It was deemed
to be important and vital in reaching the people of our land with God’s truth and
good Christian materials for equipping the saints.
On 1 July 2009 the ministry’s
name changed to Gracebooks NZ. It continues to be the primary source of Dr. MacArthur’s
material, but over the past nine years the range of authors and titles have significantly
increased as has our stock levels.
Who we are?
Gracebooks NZ is part of Gracebooks Community Trust – a charitable, not for profit
Trust. Any gift or donation qualifies for the tax credit from the IRD.
Why we exist?
Briefly, God’s goal for His church is that we attain to a perfect man, to the measure
of the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13). God wants us, His people,
His church, to mature spiritually. This happens as we come “to the unity of the
faith and knowledge of the Son of God” (Ephesians 4:13). We recognize the paramount
importance of God’s people being fed with sound biblical doctrine, and the Holy
Spirit giving life and understanding to His Word.
Gracebooks NZ exists because of a passion for God’s goal that we come alongside
churches and God’s people to make available doctrinally sound Christian resources,
to help in the equipping of the saints. The resources we supply are written by numerous
godly men and women whose desire it is to give understanding to the life-changing
Word of God. These include CDs and DVDs. It is important to us that these resources
are available to everyone at the lowest possible prices.
How we exist?
